FORMULARIO DE REGISTRO

Tracing the footprints of cancer and its causes
23 April @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Cancer originates from changes in the genome sequence of a cell. Who, how, and when do these changes occur? What impact do they have on cellular functions? Historically, great emphasis has been placed on the role of carcinogens, substances, radiation, or biological agents that can cause alterations to the genetic material of cells. These agents can be found in the environment, consumer products, or be internally produced by the organism. Identifying and controlling carcinogens is essential for cancer prevention and public health protection. But beyond carcinogens, molecules and processes that are apparently innocent and part of the organism’s normal functioning also play an important role.
In this conference, we will have the renowned expert Dr. Francisco X. Real, who will share his experience and vision on the latest advances in carcinogen research. Dr. Real is a reference in the field of oncology, and his work has significantly contributed to the understanding and mitigation of the risks associated with these agents.
