Genome Informed Therapeutics

The presentation will concern the human genome/transcriptome and associated RNA targeted therapeutics. We will walk through a 30+ year journey pertaining to antisense oligonucleotides, siRNAs and other therapeutic modalities targeting RNA (coding or non-coding) to either reduce or elevate protein expression. Emphasis will also be placed on recent siRNA modifications and advances in delivery technologies relevant to non-hepatic therapeutic areas such as ophthalmology.
