State of the Art in the Treatment of Advanced Hormone-Sensitive Breast Cancer

Advanced hormone-sensitive breast cancer refers to a type of metastatic breast cancer that responds to hormones, such as estrogen or progesterone, for its growth. This type of cancer has specific hormone receptors on the cancer cells, which allows the use of hormonal therapies to block or reduce the effect of these hormones, thus controlling the progression of the disease.
